The London Canoe Club's Boathouse is located at 199 Wonderland Road on the south bank of the river Thames, just west of the Guy Lombardo Bridge, at the Joe McManus Canoeing and Rowing Facility. Officially opened July 17, 1974, the facility represents the culmination of the efforts of the Steering Committee set up in the spring of 1971: Robin Anderson, Doug Bocking, Bill Chipperfield, Paul Hauch, Wilf Lamb, Bill Pillsworth, John Rowland , Bob Smith and Bob Vincent.

Funding for the facility came from the generous donations of H. Joseph McManus, industry, business and private individuals.
The London Canoe Club promotes and encourages paddlesport activities with participation for families, individuals and groups in London and district; with emphasis on safety, education and enjoyment of the environment.
